Forestfund, 5 March 2021. The Covid-19 period that has been almost a year is yet to show its end in Indonesia. However, this does not discourage independent monitors in Indonesia from going on with forest monitoring.
However, their activities are of course much different from that during normal time. Health protocols and policies for having activities in public are differently applied in each area in this country. This situation affects the implementation and continuity of a programme. Adjustment becomes inevitable and also applies to administrative matters.
Being aware of this as a difficult situation Independent Forest Monitoring Fund (IFM Fund) organised a project management virtual training to provide its partners with a good management guide to allow more effective implementation of programmes and maintain the accountability process.
During the event, discussion topics and materials provided include administration management, logistic management, financial management, monitoring, evaluation and audit, recommunication, to reporting.
This virtual training was organised on 4 March 2021 and engaged local partners from many areas in the country, especially those that participate in project schemes supported by FAO-EU FLEGT. Participants include Absolute Halimun Indonesia Association (West Java), Save Aru (Maluku), Alam Hijau Association (A-Hi Jambi), AMAN (Tano Batak area) and JPIK Jambi.
